Dr Stuart Skyrme-Jones
Dr Stuart Skyrme-Jones is a Specialist Anaesthetist who went to medical school at Cambridge University, did his medical internship at King’s College Hospital, London and after working in Guy’s Hospital emergency department, started anaesthetic specialist training at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, before moving on to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington for further anaesthetic training.
Stuart came out to Australia and worked initially at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, with a rotation to Longreach in outback Queensland, as the anaesthetist to the Flying Surgeon Service based there.
This was followed by a year at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, as Fellow in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia, before he was appointed a Staff Specialist anaesthetist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Stuart is now in private practice in Melbourne, with a special interest in anaesthesia for Orthopaedic, Oral and Maxillofacial, and Gynaecological Oncology surgery.
He enjoys surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking and time with his family.
